Uju Akinboro was born and raised in Lagos Nigeria. After moving to Dallas, Texas to attend college at the University of Texas Arlington to study accounting, Uju married the love of her life, Akin Akinboro, in 2006.
Making Austin home, Uju has spent the entirety of her accounting career focused on the healthcare space. She enjoys breaking down the how, what and why behind the numbers to her clinicians.
Upon meeting and hearing the Ackers’ testimony and story around fostering and adopting Nickolas and Olivia, Uju said yes to joining the Board of Directors as Secretary for Dwelling Place. She is excited to learn more about and love on the foster, adoptive and kinship community!
Uju finds joy in all things travel, new experiences and most especially being mom to her 3 kiddos.
